The greatest natural wealth of this region is white clay, which is ideal for pottery of the highest craftsmanship. Have you known that when the art appeared it was multicolored? In the painting, green, yellow, brown tones were dominated. Only later, the masters began to use black cobalt paint, which after firing turns hundreds of amazingly blue tones.

It is hard to imagine that Gzhel was not a luxury. Gzhel tableware was used in taverns, pubs, inns and as household items. Nowadays Gzel products are highly valued both in Russia and all over the world. They are chosen by true lovers of beauty, decorating their homes and even collecting artwork of incredible beauty.
